FTL Blogger Chapter Launch | What I Learned

Hey, everyone! I’m back again, sharing with you guys an event I recently went to. The Blogger Union has launched a chapter in the Fort Lauderdale area and I’m so excited because of how much closer the meet ups will be. I’ve always wanted to attend them but never had the opportunity because of how far they were. This was the first of many monthly meet-ups and the turn out was great. I met so many other bloggers and had such a great time networking and exchanging information.

To be honest, I’ve always dreamt of attending lots of blogger events and conferences but have always gotten so nervous about actually going. Something you may not know about me is that I’m a pretty shy person at first, and attending these would only intimidate me because I always felt like I would just be awkward. However, I’m trying to open up more and put myself out there so I can make connections with other creative people.

What I loved most about this meet-up was how small and intimate it was. I think it’s important for me to start small with these events to get used to the whole “networking” thing, and work my way up to the bigger conferences.

P.S. a full post on this outfit will be coming very soon.

The venue was this place in FAT village called C&I Studios. It’s a studio for creatives, but also shares space with a coffee shop. This space was so cool and trust me the outside does not do it justice!

They even had a trailer parked inside with the cutest little shop in it.

Here’s everyone chatting after our speaker Nikki Novo shared some of her blogging tips.

3 Things I Learned:

1. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there!

2. Find a purpose

2. Don’t waste time comparing yourself to others & look at your strengths.

I can’t wait to attend more events and learn more tips, so stay tuned for more posts like these in the future!

{Sorry for the bad quality in this photo btw.}
