The moment I have been waiting for my whole life has finally come; I am officially a college graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing! Words can’t explain how excited I am to have accomplished such an extraordinary goal of mine. These four long years have been the most fun, yet stressful years of my life. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my family and friends, and I just want to thank them for helping me through the tough times.
For those of you wondering where I’m off to next…
I have an internship coming up over the summer, which I mentioned in a previous post, but thankfully, I have a little break before that starts. In the meantime, I’m using these few weeks to relax, focus on the blog, and have fun! However, I’m so excited to be starting this new position and cannot wait to see what this post-grad life has in store for me.
If I could give a couple pieces of advice to anyone graduating soon or a college student in general, it would be:
START OFF STRONG – My mother always told me never to slack off in the beginning of the semester. If you start off strong and work hard for those good grades in the early months, you won’t have to worry about needing an A on the final in order to pass the class. Trust me when I say she was speaking nothing but the truth. Usually the easier assignments are in the beginning, so take advantage of those and make sure to maintain that high grade throughout.
- DON’T GIVE UP! – No matter how hard it gets, remember that the end is near. It isn’t worth wasting all the time and energy you’ve already put into getting this far. There were plenty of times where I just wanted to throw it all away, but I kept reminding myself that the hard work will pay off in the end and it’ll be all worth it. The feeling of walking across that stage and moving your tassel is one of the greatest feelings EVER!
